Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been released from care, Nigerian authorities stated on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old was involved in a car accident near Lagos on Monday, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.

Healing from Light Wounds

The sports star had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, his management team stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”
