Dominant Aryna Sabalenka Secures Consecutive WTA Top Player Honors.
World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second successive season.
The 27-year-old won four titles – the most on tour – including retaining the US Open in September versus Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth Grand Slam singles championship.
A Season of High Performance
Throughout the year, Sabalenka played in a tour-best nine finals, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.
The Belarusian also claimed victory at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She spent the whole season as the world number one, ending 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.
In July, she became the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.
Historic Achievements
Sabalenka concluded the season with a sixty-three to twelve win-loss record, and earned a historic £11m in earnings.
She earned almost eighty percent of the votes submitted by global tennis journalists.
Later this month, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match in a bid to "elevate women's tennis to a greater prominence".
